 Lovely, spacious apartment with a pool, in walking distance of beautiful Heywoods beach and the restaurants and bars of Speightstown. We absolutely loved our 8-night stay here. The owners, Jan and Gary, are superb hosts. They really looked after us, arranged our airport pick up and shopped for essentials for our arrival. Above and beyond. And just really lovely people. The apartment has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen and also a bbq if you want to cook at home and enjoy the spacious patio/veranda. The aircon cools the bedroom down instantly just before bed for a comfortable night’s sleep. And the tv had Netflix if you fancied a night in with takeaway and a movie, grabbing a Banks beer from the fridge. Could’ve stayed for weeks, very sad to only have one! In Speightstown, we’d recommend the rum punch at the Fisherman’s Pub and also Just Chillin’. The fresh fish at Local & Co was excellent but quite expensive. Just as good, but a fraction of the price was the freshly grilled fish at De Sweet Pot. Speightstown had a lovely vibe, authentic Bajan and very friendly. And the snorkelling at Heywoods and neighbouring PSC beach is very good. Couple of close encounters with beautiful sea turtles. And buses are easy if you want to explore the rest of the West Coast. All in all, couldn’t fault our stay and would highly recommend it.  

 Jan’s place was perfect for us! The apartment is comfortable - especially with the AC. A quick walk to town and walking distance from several gorgeous beaches. Jan is super responsive and the washing machine on site was a major bonus! We will definitely be back .

 Lovely apartment with everything you need, also very well located to explore the north part of Barbados. And you’ll definitely be looked after by Jan, the best host!! 

 Janlyn is truly a super host. So responsive and so helpful. She arranged transportation and even delivered food! The space in the apartment was great- lots of room to spread out and easy access to the back patio and pool. The location of this property is fantastic- a quick 5 minute walk to Heywoods beach and 10 minutes to Speightstown. 

 A fantastic 3 bed place with shared pool. Very spacious and close to a lovely beach with a small reef to snorkel around. Easy walk into town for groceries and a few restaurants. Very few restaurants open in the evening though. Janlyn and Gary were super hosts and made us feel very welcome and organized outings for us. Horace, our taxi driver/guide was also great. We hope to come back sometime. 

 Our whole stay was amazing and much of it was due to Jan, Gary and their family who couldn’t have been more accommodating, friendly and helpful. Jan’s recommendations and advice were exceptional. The property is beautiful, clean, comfortable and everything is there for your convenience. The outside area with pool, bbq and shaded seating is a real bonus. We highly recommend Jan and Gary’s apartments. We received the warmest of welcomes and were made to feel like family. It was like home from home and we hope to return in the future. 

 Everything. The property owners Jan and Gary were very helpful and easy to get on with. It felt like home from home and much more. Great facilities and very clean. 

 Lovely apartment, close to the nearest bus stop and a short walk to Speightstown. Loved having use of a small pool, perfect if you want to give the beach for a day or two. Host was just a phone call away for any queries we had. Would definitely recommended if you are not into resorts.  

 This is a great apartment in our favourite location, close to shops, beach, bus stop which make it easy to get around the island. Jan and Gary are so welcoming and hospitable, and if you get the opportunity to try Jans food, you are in for a treat. Super communication throughout and very knowledgeable. The apartment is spacious and very clean. Great balcony to relax and enjoy food and drink on after a tiring day sunbathing. Pool available to use, and lovely outdoor area to use to chill or to dine in. Would 100% recommend this and hope to stay again!

 We spent a week at the Ginger Lily, a 2BR home within 5 minutes walking distance to Heywood Beach in Barbados. The pics accurately show the spacious unit with equipped kitchen, dining area, sitting area, separate TV/entertainment area, very clean bathroom, and comfortable bedrooms. The pool and patio area is great, with an outdoor kitchen and grill. The pool is cleaned daily. Located near Speightstown, grocery store and great restaurants are close by. What makes this Airbnb special is the outstanding hosts who went way above our expectations. Our flight from the US was delayed, arriving in Barbados after midnight. After notifying Jan, she arranged a private driver to pick us up at the airport for the 45 minute drive to the Ginger Lily, as well as a rental car delivery to the house the following morning. Jan previously worked at Sandy Lane and has a background in the hospitality industry. It's like having a personal concierge since they live in Barbados and are familiar with all things Bajan. We were extremely fortunate to have found this place with such wonderful accommodating Hosts. Great location to explore the West Coast and interior Barbados with a car Will definitely return! 

 Jan and her husband Gary are great hosts. The apartment is in a quiet location but nearby a beautiful beach (great for snorkeling) and a typical Barbadian town with supermarkets, bars, restaurants (try the local food at Fisherman's pub). You can easily walk to the beach and town (no car needed). The apartment was as described and very large for the two of us. There was a problem with the shower (it was giving only a little bit of water) but I am sure they are going to fix it. Even if you only stay for a couple of days (as we did) do the Island tour to the North and West (you'll be surprised !). Jan can organize this for you.
